As a multi-disciplined engineering/trading organization, GASICO Mining Division provides a wide range of services from supply of equipment, metallurgical and engineering investigations, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), feasibility studies (to DFS level), through to full EPC project delivery of mineral processing facilities, coal handling plants and associated infrastructure for the resources sector.

In 1974 Wolf Industry was founded by Mr. Flávio Wolf that since his childhood was passionate by mechanics. Manufacturing is carried out at Osborn’s head office and manufacturing facility in Elandsfontein, South Africa.

Osborn History
Osborn was originally founded in 1919, as a subsidiary of British Steel Company, Samuel Osborn. It was established to market special steels for industry and mining in South Africa. Today the company is a major manufacturer of equipment for Africa’s mining and quarrying industries.
It was in April of 1951 that the first license agreement covering a number of products including Gyraspheres™, Vibro-King screens, feeders, screw classifiers and parts was signed with Smith Engineering works – as it was known then.
Osborn became a member of the U.S. industrial group, Astec Industries, Inc. on September 30, 2000. The association with Astec, together with our existing license agreements means Osborn offers a far broader range of world-class equipment.
Osborn has long-established licence agreements with major international principals – such as Telsmith and American Pulverizer (USA), Mogensen (UK), and IFE (Austria); and, in association with them and its network of agents and distributors, supplies local and export mining, quarrying and industrial markets across Africa.

AFROMIX – Making Mixing Matter

AFROMIX, formerly Aeromix, has been producing mixing and pumping equipment in South Africa since 1975.

AFROMIX products have been supplied into all areas of industry, particularly Mining, Chemicals, Pulp & Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Petrochemicals and Waste & Water treatment.

The company was also responsible for introducing industrial peristaltic pumps to the country. Initially introduced as small pumps for metering, dosing, transfer and analysis, the range has grown significantly over the years to include larger industrial pumps for the mining industry.

AFROMIX’s main product lines include AFROMIX agitators and AFROFLEX peristaltic pumps and hoses.

AFROMIX Agitators

 

AFROMIX manufactures a range of top entry agitators from 0.25kW to 750kW, for use in mining, chemical, pharmaceutical, waste management and paper industries. The company ‘s manufacturing facility in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape, was specially chosen due to the availability of high quality machining facilities, a competent labor force and shipping access to export markets.

AFROMIX Peristaltic Pumps and hoses

 

The extensive range of peristaltic hose pumps includes one of the largest pumps of this type in the world. Our 150mm pump has a maximum flow rate of 147m3/hr, and can deliver pressures up to 10 Bar. These units are ideal for thickener underflow applications. 

AFROMIX also supply hoses for many makes of peristaltic pumps and has the expertise to advise on all piping and system layouts.

Wear parts are available in a range of materials optimized for different applications, including 27% high chrome, 35% hyper chrome, natural and synthetic rubbers, polyurethane and ceramics.
